SafeNet Project Final Conference in Brussels will Explore Trends and Developments in Online Hate Speech

The SafeNet consortium is pleased to invite you to our final conference on 6 November 2024 at Albert Borschette Conference Center (3.B, 3rd floor) in Brussels and online from 10:00 to 12:00.

What to Expect:
The SafeNet consortium, comprising 21 CSOs from 19 EU countries, has been engaged in continuous online monitoring and reporting of online hate speech, amassing more than 18,000 cases in 19 European languages and English over the past year and a half.
The conference will gather CSOs, IT companies, EU and national authorities, and international bodies. We will present our main findings, including:

  • Overall grounds for hate speech and specific country analyses by social media platforms
  • Removal rates and response times
  • Development of issues most often encountered during the monitoring process

Our Goal:
We aim to foster a multisectoral approach and open dialogue. Participants will have ample time to ask questions, provide feedback, and offer suggestions for the future development of continuous monitoring, significantly influenced by the new DSA.

Registration:
Registration is now open. Please register here.
Due to limited spots for in-person participation, we will strive for a diverse representation of sectors, genders, and ages.
