Preventing and countering violent extremism online requires a two-pronged approach. Firstly, we need to know what we are fighting against, so to say gaining a better understanding of the online threat and related radicalisation processes. Secondly, online platforms need to be equipped with the appropriate information, resources, and capacities to tackle the exploitation of their services and comply with EU Regulations. To address these two dimensions, we are delighted to welcome speakers the Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) to the webinar from both the RAN Policy Support and RAN Practitioners.
